The Bewitched texture pack brings a mysterious and magical feel to Minecraft. Its 32-pixel textures make it possible to add more details to blocks and items, making some blocks look… bewitching! At the moment of writing this review, the pack works fine in Minecraft 1.19.2, but does not officially support this version yet.
3D-textures
Not only does this fantasy texture pack add bewitching, spooky looking textures, it also changes some block models entirely. Items and crops such as ladders and sugar cane will receive a complete upgrade.
There are some other blocks that are already three-dimensional, such as lanterns. These blocks also received a small upgrade. As visible in the comparison above, the lantern is even more detailed than usual.
Vibrant colors
The pack doesn’t just add detailed textures to your Minecraft worlds, the creator also decided to go with darker, more playful textures. This adds to the already mystical feel this pack adds to the game. It makes some blocks like flowers stand out, whilst giving other blocks slightly desaturated textures.
This is particularly clear when looking at a forest scene, such as in the comparison above. The textures appear both more detailed and more colorful with Bewitched. It doesn’t just make Minecraft look mysterious and magical, it also adds some great details to blocks and makes the game looks more natural in general.

Installation
- First, you need to download Optifine.
- Once it has finished downloading, you open the file and install Optifine.
- Now select the Optifine profile in the Minecraft Launcher and click play.
- If you want to add shaders or texture packs, navigate to the game menu, go to “Video Settings” for shaderpacks and to “Resource Packs” to install texture packs.
