There are resource packs that add vibrant colors to Minecraft, and there are texture packs that add cartoon textures to the game. Imagine a pack that does both those things, and you got impression of what Nik’s Cartoon Pack will look like.
If you like vanilla Minecraft textures, then you’ll be happy to know this texture pack doesn’t deviate from the vanilla color palette too much.
High contrast
What the pack does do, however, is replace the pattern on textures with cartoon-like textures. This means they are high in contrast, with vivid details. Because this pack is of much higher resolution than vanilla Minecrafts 16-pixel textures, there is room for much more emphasis on small details.
Looking at cobblestone for instance, the cobble on the textures is much clearer. Because of the resolution of this pack, the creator was able to add more shading to blocks, making details on blocks appear more realistic.

Installation
