Stay True Texture Pack 1.19.3 > 1.14
The Stay True texture pack adds more variety to the game’s textures. Like real life, the sceneries in this texture pack, like forests, are more random and realistic. Trees have different heights. Each set of leaves on tree branches is arranged randomly, compared to other leaves on the same tree, which gives an overall dynamic to the whole forest once you zoom out.
This variety and randomness give off a more realistic and natural feel, which is exactly how the developer of this texture pack wanted it to be.
True colors
There were a few changes added to this texture pack’s color scheme. These tweaks are very apparent on the trees right when you get into the game. You’ll notice that birch trees have orange leaves like in real life during fall, while they are olive green in the vanilla Minecraft version. The leaves also have a unique shape with this faithful texture pack. You’ll notice that the leaves stick out and flow more freely compared to vanilla Minecraft’s uniformly arranged square leaves.
Enough with the trees. Let’s move on to some building blocks. One noticeable element of this texture pack is the colors of each pixel in some blocks. The colors on this texture pack were adjusted in order to give the game a more realistic feel. In vanilla Minecraft, you’ll notice that the colors are more cartoonish because of how far the color profiles of each pixel are from one another. In the Stay True texture pack, these pixels blend in more.
Staying true
Most elements in this texture pack remain true to the original textures, except for the tweaks that the developer thought were necessary. You shouldn’t be too worried walking into an unfamiliar world since there isn’t really much difference. The beauty of this texture pack comes alive when paired with your favorite shaders like Complementary Reimagined. The water animation, the shimmer effect on mineral ores, and the sunset are only some features you will be excited about.
