The Jicklus texture pack does its best by re-texturing most blocks from vanilla Minecraft. It focuses on turning each element into a more detailed rustic look. Even the user interface is changed into some sort of asymmetric wooden-style sticks glued together. Even the particles will have a unique look in this texture pack. Each block in-game was made, so it’s a little different from vanilla Minecraft. This makes this texture pack a unique from the original.
New ambiance with Jicklus texture pack
Diving into the game with this rustic texture pack applied, you’ll notice how well everything goes together. The structure creates subtle improvements. Building cement, stone, and wooden blocks together gives a pleasing aesthetic. The foliage was also slightly re-designed so walking in forests gives a more abandoned feel, a sense of being alone and lost.
This texture pack is already good on its own, Optifine enhances the beauty of this texture pack even more. Shaders can also be applied in order to boost this texture pack’s aesthetics even further. BSL shaders do a great job in making the biomes in the horizon stand out. The Jicklus texture pack isn’t that great at giving realistic textures but certainly does a great job in reeling you back into the vanilla Minecraft world.
Other Jicklus tweaks
The mobs, the particles, and the items in-game were also given new textures. You will notice how there are a lot more raindrops in this texture pack than in other resource packs, and snow also gives you more flakes. The water also looks stunning. The addition of more wave particles make it look as if it is moving at a faster pace. The weapons such as the sword and the crossbow icons were changed.
Enchanting these weapons give them a shiny golden aura which gives them a decent refined look. If you are looking for a texture pack that gives a brand-new vibe without deviating too far from vanilla Minecraft, make sure to give the Jicklus texture pack a try.

Installation
